As Top Boy returns for a third season, we take a look at the London filming locations used by Netflix.
After a five-year hiatus, Top Boy is returning to our screens for a third season - only this time it'll be on Netflix as opposed to Channel 4.
The show may be set in a fictitious housing estate in Hackney, London, but the areas they film the show are real. Here are some of the filming locations used for the Netflix reboot.
Where is Netflix's Top Boy filmed?
While the housing complex's name isn't real, the De Beauvoir estate that it's based on is. The majority of filming takes place in the Hackney area, near Haggerston and Dalston.
In January this year, Top Boy actors were also spotted filming an intense police chase scene in the streets of London, which saw actors dressed as armed police circle around an actor in a white cap and maroon tracksuit.
Previous series of the show were shot in Millennium Mills, Walworth Academy and a snooker hall in Stoke Newington.
Londoners may also recognise Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, The Vlamont Club in Fulham Road, Queensway's bowling alleys and scenes in Elephant and Castle.
Camera crews were spotted setting up shop in the Kent seaside town of Margate last year, where they filmed scenes in Polish supermarket, Nazsa Biedronka and the famous Art Deco Lido.
When does season 3 of Top Boy drop on Netflix?
Fans can catch the latest season of Top Boy on Netflix from Friday 13 September, 2019.
