YNW Melly Smiles During First Court Appearance Since Murder Arrest - WATCH

YNW Melly is currently on trial for the double murder of two of his friends and he's been seen in court for the first time.
Just hours after his Kanye West collaboration 'Mixed Personalitites' went platinum, YNW Melly appeared in court ahe he awaits his trial for the alleged double murder of two of his friends.

YNW Melly, real name Jamell Demons, is currently in jail awaiting trial and may possibly be facing the death penalty for allegedly murdering his two friends Anthony Williams (YNW Sakchaser) and Christopher Thomas Jr. (YNW Juvy).
The rapper's Instagram account featured the above video of the 'Muder On My Mind' rapper in court alongside the caption 'I’ll be home soon. I’m smiling because God is with me - Melly #innocent #icee'.
YNW Melly has continued to claim his innocence throughout his arrest but if he's found guilty of the double murder charges then he may face the death penalty.
Speaking to TMZ, the attorney of one of the victims families revealed that they'd be pushing for the death penalty. Anthony William's family attorney said, "if the state of Florida feels the death penalty is warranted in this case then we 100% fully support it".
YNW Melly's lawyer previously claimed that he was worried the rapper's lyrics to his song 'Murder On My Mind' would be used against him in court.
Speaking to XXL, YNW Melly's lawyer Jason Roger Williams said "It’s unclear, but [lyrics have] certainly been a large part of what has come from that office right now. They have not used lyrics in court yet, but that seems to be the plan based on what we’ve heard so far."
