XXXTentacion's Son Gekyume Has Been Born Seven Months After The Rapper's Death

The 'SAD!' rapper was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Florida back in June 2018, aged 20-years-old. His girlfriend Jenesis Sanchez welcomed their son Gekyume Onfroy over the weekend.
XXXTentacion's girlfriend Jenesis Sanchez has given birth to the couple's son, Gekyume Onfroy, seven months after the rapper's death.
The 'SAD!' chart-topper was killed in a drive-by shooting outside a motorcycle shop in Florida back in June 2018, and is survived by his mother Cleopatra Bernard, his girlfriend, and his newborn son.
"We're happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy," reads a joint statement from Sanchez and Bernard released on Saturday (26th Jan.) They said they were "thrilled" at the birth of Gekyume.
Bernard also revealed that XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, specifically chose the name for his son before he was killed at the age of 20.
“Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means 'a different state' or 'next' universe of thought," she said.
“XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love.”
Shortly after the rapper's death, his mother confirmed his "final gift" by revealing that Sanchez was expecting their first child, later revealing it was a boy.
Currently, four suspects have have been indicted on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery; Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Robert Allen, all in their twenties.
