The 'Reverse' rapper reportedly dissed the 'Moonlight' artist - who was shot and killed in Florida back in June - during a cypher at BET Hip-Hop Awards 2018, with the late rapper's mother in attendance.

Vic Mensa has responded after being accused of dissing XXXTentacion at the BET Hip-Hop Awards while the deceased rapper's mother was in the crowd.

The Roc Nation signee allegedly took shots at the 'Moonlight' rapper, who was shot and killed in his native Florida back in June, during a cypher at the annual awards show.

XXXTentacion's mother was reportedly in attendance to accept her son's posthumous Best New Artist award, beating the likes of Blocboy JC, Rich The Kid, Juice WRLD and Lil Baby.

Mensa received serious backlash after a number attendees claimed to have heard the diss. DJ Scheme, a notable name in the South Florida rap scene, took to Twitter to call out Mensa on the alleged incident.

"yo bro how u gone say 'Your favorite rapper is an abuser' and then follow it with a line saying 'some sh*t X some sh*t so I won’t live long' u can deny it but everyone who was there heard that sh*t," he wrote.

Scheme went on to congratulate XXXTentacion on his award win after telling his followers they will be "f*cking disgusted" when they hear Mensa's verse.

Mensa addressed the backlash on his own Twitter account following the negative reception.

"so if i say something honest about another public person im a clout chaser? FOH," he wrote.

XXXTentacion's mother is yet to respond to the alleged diss. The footage from the BET Hip-Hop Awards will broadcast on BET on 16th October.
