The 'I Like It' rapper is reportedly torn on whether to drop the track - which contains "serious" lyrics aimed at 'Queen' rapstress Nicki Minaj - following their fight.
Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have yet to made amends following their very public fight during New York Fashion Week last month - and it sounds like Bardi might be about to add fuel to the fire.
The 'I Like It' rapper, who celebrated her 26th birthday with her husband Offset last week, has reportedly got her team "locked in a battle" over whether she should take shots at the 'Queen' rapstress on her upcoming music.
According to TMZ, Cardi has been busy in the studio and has recorded some lyrics that take "serious jabs" at Nicki, which have left her team divided. Some believe a diss track would only propel Nicki further into the spotlight and actually benefit her.
They're reportedly urging Cardi to scrap the song as the 'Bodak Yellow' rapper, who gave birth to her baby daughter Kulture Kiari back in June, has already eclipsed Nicki, and the best strategy is just ignore her.
Cardi, however, is allegedly gunning for the lyrics to remain on the track. The New York native has "always included real-life drama" in her music, so she's reluctant to remove the bars as they keep the song "real".
Following their explosive fight - which saw Cardi reportedly throw a shoe at Nicki - the pair have gone back and forth, both subliminally and directly. However, the pair have yet to come face-to-face with each other.
