Cupcakke Reveals "Fight With Depression" After Worrying Suicidal Tweet

American rapper Cupcakke has shared her first post after being taken to hospital having posted a suicidal message on social media.
US rapper Cupcakke was taken to hospital following a worrying post on her Twitter account in which the 'Blackjack' rapper claimed she was about to commit suicide.

Sparking concern amongst her followers on social media, Cupcakke tweeted 'im about to commit suicide' and the rapper has now updated her fans on how she's doing having been taken to hospital.
Writing on Twitter, Cupcakke said, 'I’ve been fighting with depression for the longest ..sorry that I did it public last night but I’m ok. I went to the hospital & im finally getting the help that I need to get through, be happy, & deliver great music. thanks for all the prayers but please don’t worry bout me'.
As well as her suicidal tweet, Cupcakke, real name Elizabeth Harris, also shared a picture of the message on Instagram and captioned the image with the words “Thank you for everything y’all have done for me, I really appreciate it.”
The rapper's close friend, comedian Elijah Daniel initially revealed that Cupcakke had been taken to hospital in a series of posts in which he wrote, “Chicago Police got to Elizabeth’s place and she has been taken to a hospital. I don’t have any further information beyond that, but will update when I do.”
He went on to say, “I’ve never felt so relieved and sad at the same time, @CupcakKe_rapper I love you more than you’ll ever know. you’re one of the sweetest souls I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and you’re not leaving us. We won’t let it happen.”
Fellow rapper Lady Leshurr reached out to Cupcakke following the concerning tweet and said, 'I’m praying for you girl. we’ve all been there, just give us a sign you’re okay beaut'.
The shock news came just a day after Cupcakke revealed dates for an upcoming UK tour during which she's set to perform in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin and Manchester.
Cupcakke's update will come as a welcome sight to fans of the rapper with people flooding the comments with well wishes and messages of support.
