The 'thank u, next' singer responded to a fan who found an old video of her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller listening to her song 'R.E.M.' during an Instagram Live. Grande posted a heartbreaking tweet after thanking the fan for finding the clip.

Ariana Grande reflected on the passing of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller this week after a fan resurfaced an old video of him listening to her music.

The 'God Is A Woman' singer replied to the fan who discovered the clip which sees Mac - who tragically died on 7th September from a fatal drug overdose, aged 26 - talking to the camera during an Instagram Live.

The clip was reportedly filmed on the 9th August, a few months after their break-up and a month before Mac's death. Mac can be heard doing a Q&A with his fans while Ariana's 'R.E.M.', taken from her album 'Sweetener', plays in the background.

"thank u for finding this," wrote Ariana. "he is supposed to be here." The 25-year-old songstress was pictured wearing Mac's hoodie last month following a tribute concert for the 'Swimming' rapper.

This week, the L.A. County Coroner's Office announced that Miller, real name Malcom McCormick, died from a toxic mix of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. His death was categorised as an accidental overdose.

Meanwhile, Ariana called off her highly-publicised engagement to comedian Pete Davidson last month following their whirlwind 5-month romance.

Grande's new single, 'thank u, next', directly references a number of her of ex-boyfriends including Pete, Mac and Big Sean. During a recent episode of SNL, Pete said he wishes Ariana "all the happiness in the world."
