When Is The Next Episode Of Power Season 5 Released On Netflix?

“This performance is worth watching,” said 50 Cent on Instagram. “Kendrick Lamar took on some difficult sh*t for his first role I ain’t cappin’ Captain.

“This is what you don’t want to miss. Get the strap.”

In the episode, which premiered on Netflix UK on Monday 30th July, Lamar took on the role of a drug addict called Laces.

Throughout his series of brief cameos on the show, Lamar attempts to sell 50 Cent’s character Kanan some stolen gift cards.

The two characters end up working together before Kanan hands Laces a gun to sell for money.

Speaking about Kendrick Lamar’s cameo during the Television Critics Association press tour, Power’s creator Courtney Kemp said, “What happened was [50 Cent] was like, ‘Kendrick had mentioned he wanted to be on the show.

“And then I got on the phone with Kendrick and said, ‘What do you want to play?’ ‘Cause that’s my favourite thing to ask an actor. ‘What do you want to do that you’ve never done before?’ That’s my favourite question.

“And then he said, ‘You know, I’d like to play’ — well, he didn’t say ‘drug addict,’ but he used a different word [laughs]. But so then we created the character Laces.”

When Kemp was asked about whether Kendrick Lamar will appear in any future episodes, he replied: “I can’t tell you that before the episode airs! Why would I tell you that?”

Power premieres every Sunday on US TV network Starz, before later premiering on Netflix UK on Mondays.
