The Wave God has had his prison sentence reduced and will be out sooner than he thought after he was initially sentenced to 75 years behind bars.

Rapper Max B, real name Charley Wingate, has revealed that his 75 year prison sentence for conspiracy charges related to armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and felony murder has been cut in a huge turnaround.

The Kanye West collaborator posted a picture of himself in prison and revealed the surprise news in the caption, writing 'They gave me 75, got it chopped to a 20 then got it down to a dozen, n***a I’m good with the money'.

Originally sentenced back in 2009, Max B was handed a 75 year prison sentence before it was cut to 20 years after the rapper took a plea deal in 2016 for aggravated manslaughter.

It's unsure as to why the rapper's sentence has been cut once more, but he's revealed that his release date will be at some point during 2021.

French Montana, who has worked with Max B on previous tracks, was reportedly working with Kim Kardashian on trying to get Max B out of prison, but it's unlcear as to whether the 'Slide' rapper or realirty star had anything to do with the latest developments.

During his time in prison, Max B has released plenty of music, including his 2012 mixtape 'Toothy Wavy' as well as new single 'Superbad' alongside French Montana.

Max B is credited with making the rerm 'wavy' popular in the Hip Hop world and is oftne known as The Wave God.
