The 'Scorpion' rapper came to a lucky number of Los Angeles residents' rescue after forking out a whopping $10,000 on ice cream and frozen treats for them.

TMZ report that Drake shelled out the dollar on 1,000 individual frozen treats across five different locations in the L.A. suburbs on Friday.

According to the report, four stands were set up in the Hidden Hills area, with another set up at upscale retail complex The Commons at Calabasas, all dishing out free treats.

Drizzy's latest move was, according to sources close to the rapper, a promotional move for his new album, and lyrics from the record were plastered on the sides of the ice cream carts.

He apparently thought it would be "cool thing to do on a hot day for the community."

Meanwhile, the rapper has reportedly been spotted filming the music video for 'In My Feelings' - the song that sparked a viral social media challenge - in New Orleans.

Drizzy was also spotted filming what appeared to be a music video in London earlier in the month.
