From his humble beginnings to his rise to superstardom, here's the lowdown on one of Houston's most talented new musical forces - Travis Scott.
Travis was born on the 30th April 1992, making him 25 years old.
Travis Scott’s real name is Jacques Webster Jr. His stage name is often stylised as Travi$ Scott, with other pseudonyms including La Flame and Cactus Jack.
As of 2018, Travis Scott's net worth comes to an estimated $8 million (£5.3 million) thanks to his musical endeavours. As well as his successful solo rap career, Scott has a huge back catalogue of production credits under his name for artists including Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Jay Z, Big Sean and more. He's done pretty well for himself since his parents cut him off financially after he dropped out of university!
The song served as the second single from Scott's second studio album 'Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight'. Scott claims Kendrick - who Scott hails as the 'best rapper in the globe' - approached him and said he thought Scott was "super dope and inspirational." 'Goosebumps' went on to achieve triple platinum status in the US.
The pair began dating just months after Kylie's split with Tyga and, within weeks, got matching butterfly tattoos. Rumours began swirling that Kylie was pregnant with Scott's child in September 2017. Following months of speculation, the birth of their daughter Stormi was announced on 4th February 2018.
Travis Scott stands at 177cm (around 5ft10), the same height as Chance The Rapper and A$AP Rocky.
Dating rumours between Scott and Rihanna surfaced in September 2015 after the pair dropped their collaboration 'Woo', a track from Rihanna's album 'ANTI'. Photos of the pair getting up close and personal in a club appeared online which further fuelled the rumours, although neither party addressed the alleged romance.
Travis Scott was born in Houston, Texas, and lived in a middle-class suburb of Missouri City with his grandmother during his youth. After high school, Scott attended the University of Texas before dropping out to pursue music. He moved to New York, then Los Angeles, sofa-surfing all the way after his parents cut him off.
The group's nickname is a combination of Quavo's nickname "Huncho" and Travis Scott's record label Cactus Jack Records. The duo released their debut studio album 'Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho' in December 2017, and it went on to chart number three in the US.
After signing with Epic Records in 2013, Scott joined Kanye West's GOOD Music label as part of its production wing Very GOOD Beats. The pair have collaborated on various tracks on the 'Cruel Summer' and 'Yeezus' albums, as well as songs for Madonna and Scott himself. But Ye is more than just a mentor - the pair are family, considering Kanye's marriage to Kim Kardashian, the sister of Scott's girlfriend Kylie Jenner, with whom he shares a child.
Tyga dated Kylie Jenner for over two years before she ended their romance and started dating Travis, prompting many to believe that there is some bad blood between the pair. On his 2017 song ‘Chandeliers’, Tyga samples what appears to be some vocal ad-libs of Scott’s within the track. Was this an intentional dig at Scott? Or was the producer just inspired by Scott's sound? Neither party have confirmed whether or not Scott knew about his involvement.
On 1st February 2018, Kylie Jenner gave birth to her first child, a daughter later named Stormi, following months of speculation. Taking her father's surname of Webster, Stormi is the only child of the couple. The rapper frequently posts images of his daughter on social media, and even gifted Kylie a $1.4 million La Ferrari as a "push present" for delivering their child.
Scheduled for release at some point in 2018, 'Astroworld' is named after a now-closed theme park that Scott used visit in Texas growing up. The rapper has been spotted in the studio with PARTYNEXTDOOR and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, while Kanye West and Stevie Wonder are also tipped to feature. Super producer Mike Dean has been working in the studio with Scott, so expect sounds to be provided by him as well.
'Butterfly Effect' is one of Travis' most commercially successful songs. Released in May 2017, the hazy track was produced by frequent Drake collaborator Murda Beatz and achieved double platinum status in the US. Scott performed the song at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards, and it's the first confirmed single set to appear on 'Astroworld'.
Scott's energetic tour received media coverage thanks people jumping from balconies and instigating fights. For those of you who didn't see the madness first hand, don't worry - La Flame dropped a whole line of tour merchandise available on his website so you can feel part of the pack.
During Scott's early career, T.I. heard his track 'Lights (Love Sick)'. The pair linked up in LA and, during a meeting, T.I. freestyled over ‘Animal’, one of Scott's early productions. In 2013, Scott signed with Grand Hustle and released his commercial debut single, titled "Upper Echelon", featuring 2 Chainz and T.I. However, in 2015, T.I. admitted that Scott "accepts no advice or instruction" from him and hailed him as "Iggy [Azealea] in a black man's body".
