The 20-year-old rapper took to Instagram Live this week to tell his followers that he thinks fellow rapper NBA Youngboy - also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again - is Tupac.

"Believe or not, love me or hate me, YoungBoy is Tupac, man," he says to the camera before bursting into laughter, and people can't decide whether the rapper was trolling or not.

"Believe or not, love me or hate me, YoungBoy is Tupac, man," said Trippie.

"I really don't get it with Youngboy.... what do people see?" wrote one user. "Damn just because he does double your numbers don’t mean he Pac Trippie," said another.

"Get this clown out of my feed," ordered one fan, with another saying, “This generation always try and compare their self to Pac, stop reaching.”

However, some people appeared to agree with Trippie's sentiments. "He better than pac," said one fan, while another added, "Facts".

Back in July, 'Suge' rapper DaBaby added himself to the growing list of Hip-Hop artists who have bravely compared themselves to Pac.

The 27-year-old spoke during an interview with Capital XTRA's Manny Norte about his status in the current rap game. "Tupac of this new shizzle?" posed Manny.

"For sure, I'm definitely the Tupac of the new sh**," replies DaBaby. "People say what they say. If I don't say nothing, then people gon' say what they say."
