Jhene Aiko opened up about the truth behind her new song 'Triggered', which many people had claimed was a diss track aimed at her ex Big Sean.

Having split less than a year ago, Jhene Aiko's relationship with rapper Big Sean is still fresh in the minds of many fans and her latest track 'Triggered' convinced many people that Jhene was taking shots at Sean.

After seeing the response to 'Triggered', Jhene decided to jump onto Twitter and address the rumours that the song was in fact a diss track aimed at her ex and cleared things up.

Writing on Twitter, Jhene said, '"triggered" was a moment. a moment that for me has passed. it is new to you because ur just now hearing it, but for me... it's something i moved on from the moment i expressed it.'

Confirming that 'Triggered' is not a Big Sean diss track, Jhene added, 'triggered is NOT a diss song. it is a moment of talking shit out of frustration and passion. it's was a moment of exaggerated expression when I was feeling lost and weak. no one is to be blamed or bashed for how I was feeling in that moment. I am in control of my feelings.'

Jhene's messages were followed by plenty of supportive messages from fans, with one writing 'Ugh people have got to stop trying to cook up sh*t. Not every song an artist make is a diss song. Y’all live for negativity.'

Since 'Triggered' was released Big Sean has remained silent on social media and chosen not to speak out about the diss track claims.

This latest news comes just months after Jhene Aiko covered up her tattoo of Big Sean's face. At the time, she told her followers, “I covered ALL my tats w/ a big ass Dragon w/ a Phoenix wing breathing life and light into a new galaxy. NEW ART! NO BEEF! ALL LOVE!”
