Tinashe

Featuring new music from Tinashe, Macklemore, Rick Ross, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne.

This week has seen a number of artists either cover old classics or jump on tracks for the remix. Tinashe, who’s currently prepping her new album ‘Joyride’, released a version of Tom Tom Club’s ‘Genius of Love’ ahead of the start of her world tour.

While Lil Wayne and Rick Ross appeared on remixes of Zayn Malik and Kanye West respectively.

Two rappers also dropped new full-length projects: French Montana’s shared his ‘Wave Gods’ mixtape and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis released their new album ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’.

Tinashe - ‘Genius of Love’

Tinashe covered the Tom Tom Club 80s classic for an advert. It’s an odd choice of song that doesn’t feel particularly well-suited to Tinashe but she still pulls it off nonetheless.

French Montana Feat. Kanye West & Nas - ‘Figure It Out’

French enlisted an impressive cast of guests for his latest mixtape ‘Wave Gods’. Among the big names were Kanye West and Nas, who both feature on the tape's standout track ‘Figure It Out’.

Kanye West - ‘Famous (Rick Ross Remix)’

The Bawse is a long-time Kanye collaborator, so it was surprising not to see him on West’s new album ‘The Life of Pablo’. Thankfully, Ross has taken matters into own hands by dropping a freestyle over ‘Famous’.

Zayn Malik - ‘Pillowtalk (Lil Wayne Remix)’

Young Money boss Lil Wayne hopped on Zayn Malik’s debut solo single ‘Pillowtalk’. It’s the latest in a growing number of big name co-signs for the former One Direction member who also recently featured on a Chris Brown remix.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Feat. Chance The Rapper - ‘Need To Know’

Chance steals the show on this track from Macklemore and Lewis’s new album. His verse addresses his rise to fame (which got a boost recently thanks to his multiple appearances on Kanye's new album) and the recent birth of his daughter.
