Drake’s rapper friend, Hassan Ali, a.k.a Top5 was attacked after watching the 6 God’s final performance at Wireless Festival 2025. Here are all the details.
Top5 seen at Wireless Festival hours before stabbing
Drake took over Wireless Festival this July, but on the eve of his final performance, a fellow Toronto rapper, who goes by the name Top5, was attacked and stabbed when leaving the gig.
On the 13th July, Hassan Ali, a.k.a, Top5, was seen leaving the festival in his white Mercedes, which was later seen in the video that is now all over social media.
In the video, a mob of young men can be seen crowded around the vehicle, opening the door and kicking the rapper, as well as others mounting the car’s bonnet and smashing his windscreen.
The attack was caught from several different angles and resulted in the musician being stabbed in the neck, despite him eventually evading the mob.
The attack has gone viral after the shocking images were posted, leaving fans wondering who the victim was.
There were reports of him being stabbed in the leg, but later reports seem to confirm it was his neck.
Whilst the motive of the ambush has not been confirmed, some fans are alleging it’s because of prior comments the rapper made on a livestream, just hours before, where he allegedly said, “There is no real killers in London.”
Top5 is a rapper from Drake’s hometown, Toronto, Canada.
The rapper is 26 years old, and is Somalian, hailing from the notorious neighbourhood, Lawrence Heights, famously known as the ‘Jungle’.
Drake, of course, has a song about the area under the same name.
He rose to fame when he was just 16, after Drake reposted one of his earliest songs, ‘Shirt off Shawty’, to his Instagram.
The post, initially shared back in 2015, showed Drake sitting watching the music video to the track, with the caption ‘Back in the 6ix word to Top Five.’
He now has over 70,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, his top song having over 4.7 million streams.
The two were pictured in April of this year, posted up with the young rapper’s song ‘2 Cases’ playing in the back.
Whilst the rapper is fairly successful in Canada, he has had some legal troubles, including a charge for a fatal shooting.
It has been confirmed that Top5 is alive and well, however, in need of prayers for a speedy recovery.Top5 is yet to publicly comment on the attack.
