The United States Court of Appeals has reportedly rejected the Game's request for a new trial. Therefore, the Compton rapper is still required to pay Rainey $7.1 million in damages.

According to TMZ, the court reached the decision on Thursday. It has been more than four years after the plaintiff filed the civil suit against the rapper.

The complaint claims the sexual assault took place in 2015, when Rainey participated as a contestant on The Game's VH1 reality show She's Got Game.

Rainey stated she had agreed to meet the rapper at a Chicago sports bar for a date, but didn't know it wouldn't be filmed for the show.

According to the lawsuit, the Game showed up to the restaurant "highly intoxicated on alcohol and drugs (which was typical), and sexually assaulted plaintiff on several occasions that night.

This included him forcefully reaching his hand inside her dress" and touch her in inappropriate places.

In 2016, Rainey won her case was received $7.1 million after the Game failed to appear in court.

The fact that the rapper didn't turn up for the initial hearings was a big factor in the appeals court's decision.

Circuit Judge Diane Sykes also brought up The Game's online abuse against Rainey. The rapper accused Rainey of being bitter over her elimination in the show.
