Teyana Taylor let fans into the more intimate side of her relationship with Aaron Pierre when speaking about her upcoming album ‘Escape Room’.

Teyana Taylor has revealed the nature of her relationship with actor Aaron Pierre, following their hard-launch back in early June.

The couple have swiftly become fan-favourites after the artist planned a surprise birthday party for the Mufasa star, with the intimate snaps going viral.

But now, we have been given more insight into their dynamic as a couple, and fans are surprised by the details!

In an interview with Complex, Teyana chatted about her upcoming visual album release ‘Escape Room’, starring her man, Aaron Pierre, as well as acting icon LaKeith Stanfield.

When asked about The Lion King star’s role in the making of the project, she was very clear about just how involved he was.

She said: “He damn near like EP’d (executive produced)! Like not literally, but damn near!”

The dancer and singer continued, giving fans an insight into how the couple is out of the limelight.

She said: “I’m really big on how you handle me, and I feel like you gotta handle me like a cup of tea…he handles me as such.”

She continued: “You know, he’s very very gentle. It allows me to feel warm and to feel safe and not be in survival mode.”

The couple is clearly very much in love, sharing a very intimate connection that the ‘Gonna Love Me’ singer is evidently grateful for.

Aaron isn’t just a supportive partner but has helped Teyana throughout the creative process of the new album and has shared just as much passion for it as she has.

Her visual album ‘Escape Room’, addresses her divorce from ex-husband, Iman Shumpert, with whom she has two kids.‘

Escape Room’ is set to be released in August 2025.
