Summer Walker was on Capital XTRA Breakfast just before her Wireless 2025 performance, where she revealed to Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie that British audiences, out of all the audiences she has performed for, show her the most love.
The R&B singer joined the Breakfast hosts to discuss her illustrious music career and upcoming album.

She exclusively revealed the genre-bending nature of her new album on the show, as well as discussing her viral performance at Wireless Festival 2022, where she broke down in tears at the crowd’s support.
A massive influencing factor on the tears was, of course, the fact that she was pregnant with her twins.
Summer said: “Hopefully I don’t cry again!”
The ‘Girls Need Love’ singer admitted that usually, because of her anxiety, she turns her own voice all the way up, so she doesn’t always hear the crowd; however, at this performance, the crowd was just so loud they cut through.
She said: “So for me to turn the mic all the way down and y’all was still that loud, that’s a different type of love.”
Summer has always been open about her social anxiety, but has categorised her British fans as being the only fans to actually surprise her with the level of love.
The star said: “Hopefully I can mentally prepare myself for the love this time.”
The singer is set to take to the stage at Finsbury Park on the 11th June, as part of the festival’s unofficial ‘R&B day’.
