Fugees Rapper Pras Reveals The Real Reason Lauryn Hill Stopped Making Albums

Former Fugees member Pras has spoken out.

Legendary R&B singer Lauryn Hill has famously only released one album, ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.

Despite the 1998 LP going diamond, she mysteriously decided to step away from making any more studio albums.

However in a new interview with DJ Vlad, former Fugees member Pras has shed some light on the situation.

"She just felt uninspired,” he said. “Some people money is a driving force for them. For her, money isn’t a driving force for her.

“If she had a billion dollars, if she had one dollar she would’ve done it the exact same way….When she says she wasn’t…she’s been uninspired she means that.”

Lauryn Hill still performs live but is yet to follow up on the success of her debut album 20 years ago.

“This is a woman who she has to feel inspired to create, and if she doesn’t feel inspired she’s not going to create. Because that’s what she gets her source of energy from.

“When we did ‘The Score’ we were inspired from what was happening. You talking Snoop, Pac, Jay, Biggie, Total; you had so much great sh*t happening that we were like we want to get in that game. Let’s bring something to the game. Let’s bring The refugee Fugees style to the table.”

Meanwhile, Lauryn Hill was under fire from fans earlier this year after showing up to her own show in Pittsburgh three hours late.

However the singer later explained that members of her band were stuck at an airport, after a number of delayed flights.
