The Island hopeful was one of two men arrested and questioned concerning a violent attack at a funeral that almost resulted in the victim to losing his left arm.
The Staffordshire police spokesperson said that both suspects that were taken into custody were released with no further action last month, and they are still looking for the perpetrators.
Following the reality show’s line-up announcement on the morning of the 3rd June, The Sun uncovered Kyle’s association with the crime and informed the show’s producers.
Love Island producers are said to have been unaware of the almost-contestant’s attachment to the crime because he was never charged, so it never appeared in their background checks.
The show has since announced he has been sent packing in order to give Kyle a chance to respond to criticism, as he would have been unable to whilst on the show due to Love Island’s strict no-contact policy.
