The rapper’s initial comments about Tupac sparked a huge backlash from fans on Twitter too.
Tupac and all those old school rappers are the reason we even have rap today if anything he should be thanking tupac and praising him for the genre. Lil Xan is the worst rapper i’ve ever heard in my whole entire life— big heart lil body (@DesireeLucinda) 3 March 2018
Lil Xan called Tupac boring? Another reason I can’t take current rap seriously at the moment.— Dominic DeAngelis (@DOMtheB0MB) 7 March 2018
He wants to be in hip hop. The culture of hip hop lives or dies bases on respect to the art of it. Him publicly saying 2pac is boring is a slap in the face to hip hop & those who Pac inspired. Its something media training & artist development is for. He is grown. Accountability— Meech (@1KingMeech) 7 March 2018
Idk how we let people like lil xan eat off the culture when they show they have no knowledge or respect for it pretty much vultures.— Jon Smarr (@JonSmarr_1) 7 March 2018
