The starlet was branded "ridiculous" by angry Twitter users.

Kylie Jenner has responded to the backlash she faced on social media after the release of her new makeup brushes.

The 20-year-old beauty mogul - who is reportedly pregnant - teased the release last Friday and revealed the sleek silver packaging of the "luxury brushes".

However, fans were less than impressed by the premium $360 price tag of the new tools, and soon bombarded social media in outrage.

However, it wasn't just the price tag that customers had an issue with.

Fans were also left furious at the fact that the brushes are made with goat hair rather than synthetic materials, despite Kylie Cosmetics calling itself a "cruelty free" brand.

Following the backlash, Jenner took to Twitter in attempts to justify the pricing behind the new brushes, as well as her choice to use real hair.

"I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever," she wrote. "I am very excited! Real brushes don't compare to synthetic brushes. Different performance/quality/everything."

The starlet continued: "I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper."

In further efforts to defend herself, Kylie shared screenshots of competitors brush sets and compared the prices, some of which were asking for a similar price to hers.

"I always fight for the lowest price on all my products," she wrote, "Here are some other real brush lines for reference."

"But i hear you guys, love you guys and truly just want the best," concluded the reality TV star.

Meanwhile, people are speculating that Kylie is set to reveal her pregnancy in a huge way with her family over Christmas.
