Kim, 37, revealed that she initially wanted to choose a one syllable name for her third-born, much like the couple's four-year-old daughter North and two-year-old son Saint.
"When I was pitching names, you said you wanted one syllable," recalled Ellen, to which Kim replied, "And I did."
"It kind of messes with me I’m not gonna lie," added the KKW beauty owner, "I really like the one syllable thing."
Kim confessed that she originally wanted to name her daughter after her grandmother, Mary Jo.
"We were gonna name her Jo, [after] my Grandma, Mary Jo. Or we were gonna go with Grace…and then it was Chicago," she said with a shrug.
"Because Kanye wanted Chicago? Because he’s from there?" questioned Ellen.
"I don’t even know how the name… I mean obviously because he’s from Chicago!" said Kim. "That is a place that made him."
