The movie wasn't nominated for Best Picture.
Ice Cube has shrugged off news that NWA biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’ hasn't been nominated for Best Picture at the upcoming Oscars.
“We ain’t worried about it,” Cube told TMZ. “We good, though.”
Despite missing out on a nomination for Best Picture, the Ice Cube-directed movie was nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
The film portrays the inspiring story of Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre MC Ren and DJ Yella, who came together to form NWA.
'Straight Outta Compton' is also the highest-grossing film ever by a black director.
Following the apparent Oscar snub, many people on Twitter have expressed their anger at the movie being "robbed".
Didn't see many 2015 films in general, but Straight Outta Compton was robbed. Seriously robbed. That film was phenomenal on all counts.
