Drake took over Finsbury Park this Wireless weekend, bringing out the likes of Vybz Kartel, Central Cee, 21 Savage, and Lauryn Hill, all on one stage.

Tickets were some of the hottest tickets on the market, fans trying their hardest to get into the ‘f.o.m.o’ event, many regretting not attending the weekend after viral moments have taken over social media feeds.

This year’s festival was the fastest sell-out in all of its 20 years.

Over 150,000 people attended over the weekend, with tickets ranging from £95 to £500- but how much of those earnings go straight to Drizzy himself?

Drake flew in on his famous multi-million dollar jet, Air Drake, for the shows, as well as renting out an entire jet for American streamers, flexing how much of a high-baller he really is.

Kitted out in custom Chrome Hearts, Nike, and of course OVO, his own brand, he showed the crowd just how wealthy he is.

So, how much did the rapping legend actually make over the summer weekend? Here is everything we know.

Whilst there are no official figures released by the festival, we can infer from previous headliners and ticket revenue just how much the rapper would have earned.

When Drake was announced as the headliner, it was initially reported he had struck a deal with Wireless worth millions of pounds.

This is to be expected for numerous reasons, the first being how much the ‘Nokia’ rapper earns as himself.

With his net worth being well over $250 million (£185 million), it is safe to assume that without an impressive sum of money, Drizzy would have had no reason to make the trip across the pond.

There was also mention of there being an exclusivity clause in the contract, as he famously is not making a tour stop in the capital city, only visiting Birmingham and Manchester, the past weekend being his only performance in London this year.

With over 150,000 tickets sold, the festival was projected to have earned a staggering £25 million!

With day tickets starting at £95 and weekend tickets at £270, it was an expensive ticket, but with the amount of surprise guests brought in by the OVO God, fans seem to be happy to have parted ways with the money.

Other festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella normally pay headliners millions, especially headliners of Drake’s status. For example, Coachella allegedly pays its performers anywhere from $5 -10 million (£3.7 - £7.4 million) for two performances across both weekends.

The Weeknd was supposedly paid $8 million (£5.9 million), for his stint at Coachella.

So, bearing in mind Drake performed 4 times over the weekend, twice on it’s closing Sunday, it is more than safe to assume that Drake would have also been paid in the millions.

Then comes the most important factor, his aura!

The fastest sell-out in the festival’s 20-year history only came because of the 6 God himself.

Not to mention the friends of his that popped out for cameos.

These included the likes of Central Cee, Dave, J Hus, 21 Savage, and even Lauryn Hill, all big enough artists within their own right to have their own near-million-pound wage. Celebrities who almost definitely wouldn’t have performed if not for their own personal relationship or admiration for the rapping legend.

Taking this all into consideration, it is safe to assume Drake would have been paid anywhere between £3-5 million for his weekend extravaganza…but of course, we wouldn’t put it past him to have earned even more.

With Drizzy giving fans a performance they will always remember, he has paved the way for his upcoming Iceman project, as well as his ‘Some Special Shows 4 the UK’ tour with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which is taking over the UK this summer.

Fans are more hyped than ever for new music and the opportunity to see him again, as he has reaffirmed his G.O.A.T status.
