The Global Academy will hold their next Open Day on 4th October!

If you love media, then the Global Academy could be for you!

It’s a school in Hayes, Hillingdon for students who are starting in year 10 or year 12 in September 2019 to go and do their GCSEs and A Levels as well as getting a unique media qualification.

The teachers have spent a lot of time with people who already work in the media industry to make sure that what you learn is actually what you need to get a job in the media industry.

You’ll get to study subjects like Radio, TV & Film Production, Digital and Online, Marketing and Events Management as well as hear from guest speakers, go on media trips, do media work experience and work on real life client projects.

Everyone who goes to the Global Academy leaves with a portfolio of media work, industry contacts and the enterprise skills – everything you need to bag your first job in media. 

This year’s students have got jobs at media companies like Global, the BBC and Facebook as well as setting up their own businesses.

Some have gone on to top Universities too to study more in Media Production, Journalism and Events Management.

They’re doing an opening evening on Thursday 4th October so you can go and have a look around and see the school.

Capital XTRA's Toni Philips and Robert Bruce are joining students at the Global Academy on 20th September to drive awareness about the Open Day event.

As well as Toni doing her show live from the Global Academy, they will also get involved with a wide range of activities and lessons.
