Should some things be left in the past?

Popular 90's TV sitcom 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' is rumoured to be returning - with a 'Fresh Princess'.

Rumours of a potential reboot surfaced this week after TMZ reported that the company behind the show have filed a new trademark to secure the rights to "Fresh Princess" on TV and across media platforms.

They also allegedly want to trademark the name for merchandise including bags, backpacks, animal collars, clothing and footwear.

Will Smith Finally Addresses 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' Reunion Rumours

Speculation concerning the female-focused reboot follows a post made by Will Smith - who played the show's titular character - appearing to endorse the idea of a cartoon version of the hit show.

Not everyone is happy about the news, however, as skeptical fans of the sitcom took to social media to air their views.

"Goodnight to everyone except the person who thinks “fresh princess of bel-air” is a good idea," wrote one user.

Others were more open to the idea, with some suggesting possible recruits for the role.
