He spoke to the Breakfast hosts about his time in Brixton, a.k.a the ‘mini Jamaica’ of the capital.
Whilst he is well known for being the African Giant and super proud of his Nigerian heritage, he actually claims that it was the city of London that made him feel more Jamaican than Nigerian at one point!
He said: “My crew of people, there were only like two Nigerians.”
He continued: “I considered myself more Jamaican at the time. Simply because of the fact that everyone around me was Jamaican and Caribbean.”
The star has a huge love for Caribbean culture, professing his love for the country in his most recent trip in 2022.
But let’s not forget his love for the capital of the UK, which he listed as one of his top cities to perform at in the world.
His album, which he listened to with Capital XTRA presenter Manny Norte, was released on the 11th of July.
He has an intimate gig for special fans at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on the 16th July, which is set to be a night to remember.
