Bow Wow has announced that he is officially retiring from music.

The 29-year-old rapper, who has recently been using his real name Shad Moss, revealed the news to his fans after performing at a club in Australia.

"Retirement only means that it is time for a new adventure" over 10 million sold. This the last one. THANK YOU,” he said on Twitter.

Bow Wow exploded onto the Hip Hop scene as Lil Bow Wow in the early 00s – earning several platinum and gold albums.

However his adult rap career has seen less success, with the rapper recently leaving his record deal with Cash Money to reportedly sign a management deal with Bad Boy Records.

Fans on Twitter have expressed their confusion at the news, with some even claiming he was already technically retired.

Bow Wow has since announced that he will release his final album ‘NYLTH’ – which will be executively produced by Snoop Dogg.
