1. Drake - 'Nice For What.' Written in: 1 Hour 30 Minutes.
Producer Murdabeatz revealed that he and Drake made 'Nice For What' in a very short time! Speaking to DJBooth, he said: "We picked the [Lauryn Hill song], chopped it up, I made the beat while [Drake] was playing 2K. He's like, 'This sh*t fire.' He sat there, wrote the sh*t in front of me, cut the sh*t in front of me. We got the sh*t done, beat and song, probably in like an hour and a half."

2. Kanye West - 'All Falls Down.' Written in: 15 Minutes.
Kanye didn't keep secret the lengthy process that went in to writing his debut album 'The College Dropout,' which turned 10 this year. Although four years in the making, one track 'All Falls Down' was thrown together in 15 minutes according to Kanye.

It's a song that earnt him a grammy-nomination, went to number one worldwide, and sparked the making of his second solo studio album, yet Pharrell's recent hit 'Happy' was written in in his own words; "an hour or so."

5. Eminem - 'Rap God.' Written in: 6 Minutes, 1 Second.
In a Q&A on his Facebook page the Rap God told fans that his 2013 hit was written in "six minutes and one second." The song itself is six minutes and seven seconds long, with the last word uttered at 6.01. So either Em wrote the entire thing in one go with no pauses or hesitations, or he's exaggerating slightly.

In an interview with CBC Radio he said: "A lot of my hit songs I’ve written in a very short period of time. 'Hold On, We’re Going Home,’ I felt like we finished that in like two hours"

The ode to the artists hometown went 5x platinum, but it only took 30 minutes to piece together according to its co-writer Angela Hunte, who said she wrote it in a moment of missing home.

Jess Glynn - the woman whose vocals have featured on two big number ones this year, Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' and Route 94's 'My Love,' wrote her first solo single 'Home' in half an hour. She told Manny Norte in an exclusive interview on The Norte Show; "It was the first session we all had. It started off as something else... We got carried away with the beat and it was written in like half an hour."
