His accuser claims he "punched” and "choked” her during the alleged attack.

Trey Songz has turned himself into the Los Angeles police following claims of an alleged physical assault, reports claim.

After facing police custody on Monday morning (19th March), the R&B singer posted a $50,000 bond and was released two hours later.

Songz has been accused of punching a women in the face during a heated argument at party over the NBA All-Star weekend, the initial report by TMZ claimed.

Andrea Buera, the victim of the alleged assault, gave a shocking account of the alleged incident during a tearful press conference last week.

During the conference, photographs of Buera's injuries that she claims to have obtained as a result of a violent attack were shown while she outlined details of the incident.

Earlier this month, Buera was granted a restraining order against Songz, who took to Twitter yesterday to vehemently deny the allegations made against him.

"I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain," wrote the 'Slow Motion' singer.

Buera claims Songz became jealous after he spotted her talking to another man at the party, resulting in an aggressive confrontation.

A hearing for the injunction will take place 27th March, where Buera will be present to testify against Songz.
