Most peoples initial thoughts were positive, to say the least.
After releasing a string of incredible mixtapes, some fans were worried that his first studio album would be too commercial.
Downloaded #beautybehindthemadness and have to admit, that while it's got some good songs and features, it just sounds a bit too commercial.— Amrita (@6inchstilettos) August 28, 2015
People couldn't help but notice the MJ vibes they were hearing.
It's also the most MJ sounding record vocally as well. Abel definitely goes in. #beautybehindthemadness— Jordan Schwarz (@jordanerschwarz) August 28, 2015
The Weeknd being The Weeknd, the album is of course, NSFW.
