The MC is trying to get his single 'Shut Up' to Christmas No. 1.
As part of his campaign to get his single ‘Shut Up’ to Christmas Number One, Stormzy has released a hilarious X Factor parody called ‘The G-Factor’.
In the video, the Grime MC plays the role of a judge looking for somebody with ‘The G-Factor’ – auditioning some of the UK’s biggest urban acts including Krept, Section Boyz and Yungen.
“I’m looking for old-school Grime instrumentals, I’m looking for melodies,” he says, before taking his seat in the judges chair alongside his friends.
After being told his ‘Shut Up’ instrumental “sounded like some jingle bells”, Stormzy delivered the perfect response.
“[The candidate] said the instrumental sounds like a Christmas song and that’s how I feel when I hear the instrumental. It sounds like on of them Christmas No.1’s,” he said.
Meanwhile, Stormzy recently performed ‘Shut Up’ at Anthony Joshua’s British Heavyweight Title fight.
The MC warmed the crowd up with a special remix of the song during Joshua’s ring-walk.
