The bookies have backed him at 9/1 odds.

Stormzy has put himself forward to do the official soundtrack for England's Euro 2016 campaign this summer.

As it stands, former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is bookies favourite at 9/2 to record the official song, however the Grime artist is gaining popularity.

Bookies originally had him at 18/1 but now Stormzy has dropped to 9/1.

It wasn't so long ago he was making noise on Twitter with #ShutUpForXmasNo1 in a bid for the Christmas number one.

With the support of MTV, the MOBOs and countless Grime fans he did manage to get into the Christmas top 10.

Other artists in running are Tinie Tempah, Kasier Chiefs, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix and Olly Murs.

Could this be Stormzy's time?
