West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed he believes TDE is a better version of Death Row Records during an LA Summit.

Snoop Dogg participated in a panel discussion in Los Angeles last weekend. After REVOLT Summit in Atlanta took place in September, a second installment of the three-day event proceeded on Friday.

On Saturday, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and President Terrence “Punch” Henderson served as co-chairs alongside the West Coast rapper.

While discussing "The Making of TDE," Snoop allegedly referred to TDE as the better version of Death Row Records, according to a tweet sent out by Punch after the event.

On Sunday (27 Oct) Punch took to Twitter and wrote "Snoop Dogg sat on stage in a room full of ppl and said we (TDE) are a better version of Death Row Records. Humbled."

TDE has been getting compared to Death Row Records around the time when TDE started blowing up following the release of Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city in 2013.

Snoop chimed in on the debate about the budding independent label and Death Row Records, to which Snoop was signed in the 90's.

In an interview with Vibe, Snoop said "Death Row did it with a gangster approach," while TDE rappers "represent hip-hop and they don't represent negativity and violence."

Snoop offered an alternative angle on the debate, talking from experience.
