Appearing on the 75 year anniversary of the tragic events of D-Day, as you can see in the video above Skepta said "Lucky to not have to be called to go and fight. A lot of hearts and thoughts go out to everyone affected in that man."
Speaking to GMB host Susanna Reid, Skepta said "โItโs a heavy morning. I didnโt think I would have to come and talk about my album just in the midst of this."
Clearly feeling reflective about the important occasion, Skepta went on to say, "I was supposed to be on here yesterday, it wouldโve been a lighter mood."
Having spoken briefly about his new album and the influence of Grime music in the UK, Skepta closed the chat by opting not promote his new music and instead saying "I wanted to say thank you, rather than promote the album, because of what kind of morning it was."
The Boy Better Know MC was showered by huge praise from viewers on social media after the interview aired with people praising Skepta for his sensitive handling of the situation and the respect he showed...
@GMB HUGE respect for Skepta right now, not feeling right about talking about his new album in the midst of the D-Day celebrations. With that humble attitude and genuine awareness, you crack on, big up the album!

Fully hear where @skepta is coming from being on @GMB this morning. This should have been thought out better by production, especially when he was due on yesterday!
