Grime on the big screen?

Skepta has revealed his plans to make a film dedicated to his Grime collective Boy Better Know.

The ‘Shutdown’ rapper, who signed Drake to Boy Better Know earlier this year, will bring the rise of his crew to the big screen.

Outlining his exciting plans in a recent interview with Evening Standard, he said: “It’s going to be about Boy Better Know but not in a completely autobiographical way”.

Very little is currently known about the film however it is expected to include all the members of the Grime label and crew, including JME, Wiley, Frisco, Jammer, Shorty and more.

Skepta also briefly outlined his plans to consult on the Drake-funded revival of popular TV show Top Boy.

Interestingly, the Grime MC is reportedly yet to spend the £25,000 he received for winning the Mercury Prize for his Gold album ‘Konnichiwa’.

Meanwhile, he also revealed his blossoming friendship with Adele – admitting that the pair frequently text each other and share advice.
