The ‘Work’ singer dropped out last-minute due to bronchitis
Rihanna cancelled her performance at the 2016 Grammys Awards due to bronchitis.
The popstar was schedueled to perform ’Kiss It Better’, from her latest album ‘Anti’, at the ceremony but was on doctor’s orders not to sing for 48 hours because she "was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords,” Billboard reports.
The singer had been taking antibiotics for three days but they “did not kill the infection adequately."
#NAVY so sorry I couldn't be there ..... Thanks Grammys and CBS for your support tonight.— Rihanna (@rihanna) February 16, 2016
While Rihanna arrived at Los Angeles' Staples Center to rehearse her performance she did not attend the ceremony later.
The singer will embark on a world tour in support of her eighth studio album 'Anti' later this month.
