R Kelly was hit with aggravated sexual abuse cases after Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly docuseries aired. Although the R&B singer has been in and out of jail for multiple cases, he has still managed to book a club appearance in Illinois.
After Kellz took to Instagram to request the media to "take it easy" on him when he hosts the club appearance at Dirty South Lounge, he attended, and got an amazing response with hardcore fans embracing him.
R. Kelly stayed at the club for an hour and earned himself a massive bag, after not being able to make much money from music. According to TMZ, R. Kelly's club appearance in Illinois, Dirty South Lounge earned him a whopping $22K.
R Kelly allegedly gave his booking agent $2k and kept the $20K.
Kellz allegedly weren't scheduled to perform, but the artist still grabbed the mic and gave his fans a 28-second performance. The singer began with the opening line to his hit "Bump N Grind."
Although the sexual abuse claims have taken a massive toll on Kelly's career, he still has hardcore fans who show up for him no matter what.
The singer reportedly showed up to the event at 10 p.m. but only came out and greeted his fans at 1 a.m. The club was an intimate setting with reportedly 50 people in attendance to see Kellz.
