This week Pharrell Williams has debuted a brand new track with Major Lazer.
The Neptunes producer was in the middle of a three day headline gig on the 'Holy Ship' cruise when he chose to premiere the new material mid-performance.
"Holy Ship, it's a brand new Pharrell tune right here," the DJ shouts before Pharrell begins rapping the catchy new beat. The taster lasts for just over a minute, before Pharrell goes straight into his Robin Thicke collaboration 'Blurred Lines'.
Following an impressive 2013, whereby the singer and producer broke records with his collaborative work on 'Blurred Lines' and 'Get Lucky,' this year Pharrell has signed a deal with Columbia records that will see him release his first solo album in eight years, and only his second ever.
It's unknown whether the Major Lazer hook up with feature as a track on the album, but 'Despicable Me 2' soundtrack 'Happy,' which Pharrell has recently received an oscar nomination for, will definitely appear.
