The hat that won the Grammy's and has been stuck to Pharrell Williams' head ever since is going to separate from its owner.
Pharrell's vintage Vivienne Westwood 'Mountain' hat has sold for a staggering $44,100 on eBay. The bidding, which started the week before last, got off to a flying start with $10,000 being put on it in a matter of days. Overall, the hat had 131 offers before one dedicated fan won the bidding war today.
The hat quickly became the most talked about accessory in the world when Pharrell wore it to this year's Grammy Awards ceremony. After gaining the world's attention, Skateboard P decided to put it up for auction to raise money for his charity From One Hand To Another, which helps kids to pursue their passions.
He tweeted; "Thank you to whoever bought my Grammy hat on @eBay for $44,100."
.@Pharrell You're welcome. We're HAPPY to support a great cause & get our hat back. Good luck at the #Oscars tonight! pic.twitter.com/2oA7qDPX9z
