"You should know, it began with 'California Love'." Those were the words Kendrick Lamar said as he took to the stage to perform a cover of Tupac and Dr Dre's seminal hip-hop anthem at an awards show in Los Angeles last night (1st May).

The rapper, who was just eight when he visited the set of the 'California Love' video, went in on the track while surrounded by 150 of his biggest fans, while Rihanna also looked on from the audience.
