Justin Timberlake has responded to comments made by Kanye West during his epic MTV VMAs speech, in which he claimed that Timberlake had cried after not winning a Grammy in 2007.

The R&B singer missed out on the Album Of The Year award that year, with Dixie Chicks winning for their LP ‘Taking The Long Way’.

Kanye West said: “I sat at the Grammys and saw Justin Timberlake and Cee Lo lose; Gnarls Barkley and the 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' album.

“I ain’t trying to put you on blast, but I saw that man in tears. He deserved to win Album Of The Year.”

Responding to Kanye’s comments via Twitter, Timberlake initially appeared to shrug off the claim, writing: “Kanye is so cute, y’all.”

The singer then added: “Jokes, you guys… Jokes. #chill… Btw… I JUST watched my man ‘Ye’s FULL speech… He always has a point. And I support it. #truth”

During Kanye West’s 13-minute acceptance speech for the Video Vanguard award, he discussed his confusion with award shows and announced his intention to run for president of the United States Of America.

Yeezy was also spotted dancing along to The Weeknd's performance of 'Can't Feel My Face' from his seat in the audience.
