JAY-Z paid tribute to the late Chester Bennington during his headline set at V Festival over the weekend.
The New York rapper, who performed at both Staffordshire and Chelmsford, took time to pay tribute to the former Linkin Park frontman on stage.
Hov finished his set with an emotional performance of their track ‘Numb/Encore’, which blended his song ‘Encore’ with Linkin Park’s ‘Numb’.
They famously collaborated with the rock band on 2004 EP ‘Collision Course’, which saw the two acts release mashups of each other’s songs.
Chester Bennington recently died of a suspected suicide at the age of 41.
Meanwhile, during his set JAY-Z performed songs from his new album ‘444’, including ‘The Story Of OJ’, ‘Marcy Me’ and more.
Interestingly, Rihanna watched the performance from the side of the stage at V Festival but didn’t come out to perform.
