Watch a preview from the TIDAL-exclusive video below:
“I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn't totally built on the 100 percent truth," says JAY-Z.
"Then it starts cracking, and then things start happening that the public can see...We had to go a point and be like, 'Tear this down,' and then start from the beginning."
The rapper then spoke about his private life being exposed to the public.
"Things start happening that the public can see," he remembered. "Then we had to get to a point of ‘OK, tear this down and let's start from the beginning.' It's the hardest thing I've ever done."
Although JAY doesn’t reveal the exact details of the public “things” he refers to, some fans are assuming he is talking about his infamous elevator incident with Solange, as well as Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ album.
JAY-Z’s ‘Footnotes For 4:44’ mini-documentary also features Kendrick Lamar, Will Smith, Chris Rock and more, discussing love and relationships.
