What a show!

J. Cole has kicked off his new politically-charged ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ arena tour across the US.

The Fayetteville rapper began his tour at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Arena in dramatic fashion, wearing a bright orange prison jumpsuit.

Cole was escorted to the stage by police, with a sign on his back that read “Property Of…”

J. Cole reportedly used his new album ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ as the foundation of his performance but also included fan favourite songs such as ‘Lights Please’, ‘No Role Modelz’ and ‘Power Trip’.

After performing powerful songs such as ‘Neighbors’, which is about a real-life SWAT raid on his studio, he ended with the album’s eight-and-a-half minute title track.

“If you don’t want to hear somebody running through some real shit for eight minutes and really give you a story,” he reportedly told the crowd, “this is your time to beat the traffic.”

Cole will continue his arena tour throughout the US until its final date in Dallas on 20th August.

He then brings his highly-anticipated arena tour to the UK, playing at London’s O2, Manchester Arena and more, before ending at the Leeds First Direct Arena.
