Drake Beats Michael Jackson's AMAs Record With A Staggering 13 Nominations

Drizzy smashed the record set by 'Thriller'.

The full list of nominations for the 2016 American Music Awards has just been released, with Drake leading by a staggering 13 nominations.

The rapper has beaten Michael Jackson's 1984 record of 11 nods, following the success of the late singer's legendary album 'Thriller'.

Following close behind is rumoured girlfriend Rihanna with 7 nominations, whilst Adele and Justin Bieber are tied at 5 noms each. 

The four go head to head with the likes of Beyonce, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd for the coveted Artist Of The Year award.

The American Music Awards takes place on 22nd November.
