Since Soulja Boy commented on Karreuche Tran's Instagram picture, the pair's beef has spiralled out of control! This is a history of their beef so far.
Soulja Boy sparked their explosive beef when he showed his appreciation for Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran on Instagram. The rapper 'liked' a picture of her and also 'commented' with a series of love heart emojis.
Chris Brown was clearly unimpressed by Soulja Boy's actions and apparently called the rapper's phone asking to fight him over the incident. But Soulja Boy hit back by exposing Breezy's intentions and claimed he takes drugs. Picture: Instagram
Karrueche responded to the drama by politely asking both artists to leave her out of their argument. However Chris Brown snapped back at her in a scathing Instagram post, accusing her of being a "dumbass" and claiming that she was only famous because of him.
With their beef beginning to gain coverage on various international media platforms, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy started dissing each other in a series of Instagram video posts. Soulja called out Breezy for beating up Rihanna back in 2009 and the singer challenged him to a fight.
After claiming that he was gang-affiliated, Soulja Boy went to the streets of Compton to prove himself. However the rapper bumped into a number of actual gang members and appeared to get his phone robbed on Instagram Live. Another angle of the incident showed Soulja Boy attempting to fight them off.
"At the end of the day, it's not about who started the beefs. It's about who ends them," he said in an emotional video on social media. The rapper claimed that his mother was in hospital and said he wanted "to work with" Chris Brown before the end of the year.
In a strange turn of events, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy revealed that they would settle their differences in a boxing ring. The pair both confirmed the news on their social media accounts and suggested the fight would happen in March in Las Vegas on pay-per-view TV. 50 Cent appeared to encourage the fight on Instagram, suggesting Breezy would win.
Soulja Boy surprised everyone when he announced that former boxer Floyd Mayweather would be training him for his fight with Chris Brown. Mayweather also agreed to promote the fight using his boxing company The Money Team.
Things heated up after Soulja Boy claimed that he spent time with Chris Brown's two-year-old daughter Royalty and her mother Nia Guzman. "Chilled with Royalty and Nia at Floyd's house," he said alongside a devil emoji. Chris Brown responded with a furious video, demanding the rapper to leave his daughter out of their beef.
After Soulja Boy dragged Chris Brown's daughter Royalty into their argument, Breezy demanded that the boxing match be pushed forward to 28th January. Both artists then began posting videos of themselves working out for the fight.
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson inserted himself into the beef by revealing that he would get Breezy in shape for the fight. In an Instagram video, he said he would teach Chris Brown "all the dirty tricks" in the book to help him beat Soulja Boy.
In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Soulja Boy claimed that Rihanna was the behind his beef with Chris Brown. He said that after Chris Brown infamously assaulted her in 2009, she hung out with him after one of his shows and the pair spent time together. Picture: Instagram
Mike Tyson surprised fans again by revealing that he had recorded a Soulja Boy diss track featuring Chris Brown. The former boxer previewed the song, rumoured to be called 'It's Going Down' on Instagram. "If you show up, it’s going down/ I’m going to teach you how to knock his ass out," he rapped.
According to TMZ, the fight was moved from Las Vegas to Dubai because of rules and regulations. The publication claimed that both artists wanted to avoid the mandatory drugs tests that amateur fighters must undergo in the US.
It seems so! The unlikeliest boxing match of the century is currently set to take place on 28th January in Dubai. 50 Cent has bet Floyd Mayweather $100,000 that Chris Brown will beat Soulja Boy, while betting odds also make him favourite. But can Soulja Boy stage an unlikely victory?! Picture: Getty
