There were strong rumours that the Chicago rapper was set to release a new album this week, however he later assured fans that he has been in the studio.

Chance's new album will be the follow up to his Grammy award-winning “Colouring Book” and his last joint mixtape “Merry Christmas Lil Mama” which he also dropped in 2016 with Jeremih.

Chance also previously revealed that he was working on an album with Kanye West and said that he didn't want to put a "time frame" on it.

Speaking about the project between the two Chicago natives, Chance said: "I don’t know of a timeline on it yet, the trajectory of it, but [Kanye's] coming here [to Chicago] to work on it some more.

"We’ve just started making it, but I don’t want to manipulate the situation and impose any time frame, because that can hinder you."
