The 'I Like It' rapper skipped her latest court hearing in favour of shooting a music video as her lawyer claims she is too "busy" to attend. Cardi is being sued following an altercation with two strip club bartenders.

Cardi B allegedly failed to attend criminal court in New York on Monday (3rd Dec) in favour of shooting a music video in Miami.

The 26-year-old rapper was scheduled to appear in court in connection with her ongoing assault case, involving two bartenders, named Baddie Gi and Jade.

The two women are preparing to sue Cardi for allegedly ordering the attack on them at a strip club leaving them both injured. Cardi failed to show up to court this week, however, despite being granted a 6-week extension.

According to TMZ, Cardi's defense team only found out days before that Cardi had a "prior commitment" that meant she couldn't attend Monday's hearing.

That prior commitment was, as it turns out, a music video. Photos obtained by the site show Cardi covered head-to-toe in tiger paint alongside rap duo City Girls on a shoot in Miami.

The video is likely for their new song, 'Twerk', with the trio taking to a yacht with "more than a dozen" bikini-clad women as the champagne flowed.

Cardi is yet to respond to the reports.
